Brian K. Your enthusiam and wit are an inspiration to me, not to mention your skill with a pencil and Software art package.
I truly miss being able to scoot down to your side of the building to drag down your productivity.

In recent experiences I have had it seems like there is a core in a small group developing a story....it's usually one person who is the energy cell. In the past I have been on the receiving end of the bad vibes of autocratic managers who think that all development has to happen in the earshot of a political officer/recordist, so the magic doesn't escape without them knowing about it somehow.
What is the ideal situation for a studio, vs independant on getting something small rolling.
From the PIXAR story and writers panels, I kinda gleaned that you have to have a story to tell before you tell it. That seems like what I have seen in things I have done that I feel are more successful.
Studio.....codirectors and writers together, working, then blathering together in a room an then working alone, and then.....
Individual....finding a story to tell and then telling it to yourself and trusted parties over and over again?
What thinkest thou.

Personal Feature Project.
Right now I am gearing up for expanding my beat boards on a full story that involves the characters Max and Bear(mostly Bear) from my short animation

I am doing the Dev work on it simultaneously, and at the same time, with working on the picture book.
I have already animatic-ed out the last 5 minutes of the second act....and have my decision/character moment basicly charted out.
This week I am going to work up a few style sheets for boarding as well. My drawing of the Bear has changed and I need to find a comfortable place while doing him justice.
